Director of Nevada Public Charter School Authority appointed

Gov. Steve Sisolak has appointed Rebecca Feiden as director of the state Public Charter School Authority.

She’s currently the head of the Nevada Achievement School District but will take over at charter schools April 16.

He described her as a lifelong educator with administrative and classroom experience in charter schools saying she’ll work to improve Nevada’s public education system.

Feiden holds a bachelor’s in math and physics from Wesleyan University in Connecticut and a graduate teaching certificate from the University of Pennsylvania.
