Partnership Carson City is releasing a request for applications. Nonprofit or tribal entities are encouraged to apply for funds for primary prevention programs relating to substance-abuse prevention and education.

The funds are provided through the Division of Public and Behavioral Health Substance Abuse and Treatment Agencies State General Funds and Federal Block Grant.

“Please read the application thoroughly and pay close attention to deadlines,” urged Hannah McDonald, director of Partnership Carson City. “The turnaround time is short for these funds; however it is a wonderful opportunity to continue or create a new primary prevention effort in Carson City.”

The mandatory bidders conference will be 10 a.m. April 26 and letters of intent are due by 4 p.m. May 2.

The application will be due June 7 with the application review on June 20. Notification of awards will be June 21.

For an application and a sample budget, go to PccCarson.org.

For assistance or for information, call McDonald, 775-841-4730.
