County commissioners meet Thursday

The Churchill County commissioners meet Thursday at 8:15 a.m. in the commission chambers at 155 N. Taylor St.

Commissioners will take action on the following items:

Award of 2019 Jim Regan Memorial Scholarships to the following individuals for the respective amounts: Taylor Ingram for $1,800; Kaylynn Perez for $1,500; Brooke Shyne for $1,500; McKenna Montgomery for $1,200; and Angeleena Tomb for $1,000.

Adoption of proclamations recognizing the contributions of Kent’s Supply and Frey Ranch Estate Distillery to the economic engine of Churchill County.

Receive update from the library director’s report.

Read the first hearing on an ordinance making corrections, deletions, additions and minor revisions to Title 12 Streets and Sidewalks, Section 12.04 Encroachments in the Right of Way; and Title 16 Consolidated Development Code, Section 16.08 Zoning and Land Use, Section 16.16 Development Standards, and Section 16.24 Definitions

Ratification of the Welfare Set­ Aside Fiscal Year 2019 Funding Agreement Amendment between the State of Nevada, Housing Division and Churchill County Social Services representing an increase from $11,000 to $13,962.00.

Closed Personnel Session pursuant to NRS 288.220 for discussion of negotiations with the Churchill County Sheriff’s Deputies Association (CCSDA), Sergeants’ Unit, and the Dispatchers’ Unit.

Take action on the transfer of funds to the Churchill County Road Department for $250,000 for Fiscal Year 2019 various road/bridge projects for the third quarter.

Adopt market value of county­ owned property located at 2525 Beasley Drive (APN 007­171­54) consisting of 1.26 acres (non­water righted) and a manufactured home; consideration of Resolution 277­2019, a resolution declaring the sale of the real property is in the best interest of the county and declaring the county’s intent to place the property for public bid.
