Churchill County commissioners have busy agenda for Thursday

The Churchill County Commissioners meet Thursday at 8:15 a.m. in the commission chambers, 155 N. Taylor St.

Agenda items include the following:

Acknowledgement of the removal of the Matthews Ranch Planned Unit Development (PUD) overlay and Special Use Permit.

Approval of an Agreement for the sale of land with TOT, LLC whereby TOT, LLC will convey APN: 009­271­72 to Churchill County for the purpose of parceling a portion of the property for future water and sewer facilities with the remainder of the unused property to return to TOT.

Application for community support funding for $5,000 for the Churchill Art’s Council.

Renewal of annual membership with the Central Nevada Regional Water Authority and update on activities.

Approval of an agreement with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for $71,388 for provision of the Rapid Rehousing for Homeless Program for fiscal years 2020 and 2021.

Acceptance of the fiscal year 2020 Emergency Solutions Grants Award for $21,789.00 to support Churchill County Social Services homeless programming.

Approval of a sub­grant award agreement to the Churchill Community Coalition for $288,649.00 for Fiscal Year 2020 to support the Board of Health priorities.

Presentation on Community Development Block Grant pre­application for the Churchill Hazen Industrial Park for $73,400.

Reclassification of Tiffany Timmons from office assistant to office specialist in the Social Services Department.

Modification to the class specification for the position of deed & title review specialist in the Assessor’s Office.

Approval of a class specification for an employee support specialist and to assign it to Pay Grade 39 for the Human Resources Department.

Recess the Board of County Commissioners’ meeting for the purposes of convening the Churchill County Liquor Board.

Approval of two Proposals from Paul R. Bruk of Bruk Real Estate for $1,500 each, to provide professional appraisal services for the purpose of evaluating a Conservation Easement on the Amos property (APN: 007­611­20) and the Schank properties (APN: 007­651­27, 007­651­29 & 007­811­18).

Approval of a Proposal from Johnson Perkins Griffin Real Estate Appraisers for $3,000 to provide professional appraisal services for the purpose of evaluating a conservation easement on the Nygren property (APN: 007­571­23) and the Uran property (APN: 006­671­26).

Approval of Resolution 286­2019 regarding assignment of a deputy attorney general to prosecute a conflict case.

Reappointment of Craig Williamson to the Churchill County Cemetery Board.
