Louisiana fugitive nabbed in traffic stop, Carson City Sheriff’s Office says

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

FRIDAY

At 5:27 p.m., a 32-year-old woman was arrested on two outstanding failure to appear warrants after a traffic stop at Northridge and Jarbidge Court. Bail was set at $1,070.

At 7:46 p.m., a 26-year-old was arrested after a records check showed the license plates on his vehicle to be stolen. He was stopped on North Carson Street and Hot Springs Road. He was also charged with driving on a suspended license and obstructing an officer for refusing to obey the deputy’s commands. He also faces a parole hold. Bail was set at $18,800.

SATURDAY

At 12:30 p.m., an 18-year-old was arrested on an outstanding Douglas County traffic warrant after he was pulled over at William and State for not wearing a motorcycle helmet. Bail was set at $298.

At 5:03 p.m., Katie Holt, 29, and Sean Wyatt, 42, were arrested on drug charges after deputies were told the license plate on their vehicle was stolen out of Reno. They were both charged with possession of heroin for sale and possession of paraphernalia as well as possession of the stolen license plates. In addition, he was charged with possession of prescription drugs without a prescription and she was charged with violation of parole conditions. She was held without bail. His bail was set at $18,500.

At 5:58 p.m., a 58-year-old woman was charged with DUI 1st alcohol after a traffic accident on Carson Street caused by her following too close. Bail was set at $1,065.

SUNDAY

At 8:30 a.m., Jacob Watkins, 27, was arrested after a traffic stop at Como and Saliman after the driver of the vehicle ran a red light. A background check showed a no bail warrant issued in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, charging him as a fugitive from justice.

At 10:25 p.m., a 19-year-old bakery worker was arrested after deputies responded to a report of domestic battery at an apartment on Woodside Drive. The arrest report says her relatives were attempting to calm her down by putting her in the shower when she kicked and punched them. She was charged with two counts of domestic battery, one count of battery and one as a minor consuming alcohol. Bail was set at $7,150.

At 11:48 p.m., a 45-year-old roofer was charged with domestic battery 1st after deputies were called to an address on Como Street for a dispute between a man and wife. Both blamed the other for the altercation but she claimed he caused a small laceration on her arm and charged that he threw her against a wall. His bail was set at $3,000.
