Nevada’s Parks Division is seeking pre-applications for grants under the Recreational Trails program.
A spokesman said Parks is expecting about $1.2 million in federal funds for 2020. The program funds motorized and non-motorized trails projects for everyone from state and local governments and Indian tribes to special districts and even private organizations.
In Nevada, the program has supported projects including shoreline access at Lake Tahoe, the Churchill County Path Repair and Red Rock trail restoration.
The pre-application form is available at parks.nv.gov/rtp. The deadline for pre-applications is Aug. 23. Information is available from Janice Keillor at 684-2787, jkeillor@parks.nv.gov, or Art Krupicz at 684-2775, akrupicz@parks.nv.gov.
