Lane closures on U.S. 50 east of Carson City begin Tuesday

Single lane closures will take place on U.S. 50 in eastern Carson City on May 14-16 as the Nevada Department of Transportation fills roadway cracking.

Sections of U.S. 50 between Asphalt Drive and College Parkway in eastern Carson City will be reduced to one lane from approximately 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily May 14 through May 16. Motorists are advised to give extra travel time and to anticipate travel delays of up to 30 minutes.

As part of continuing routine roadway maintenance, NDOT maintenance staff is filling age-related cracking of the highway surface to provide a smoother driving surface and preserve the highway. The road work schedule is subject to change.
