60 mph on Carson Street leads to DUI arrest, Carson City Sheriff’s Office says

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

TUESDAY

At 3:46 p.m., a 25-year-old tradesman was arrested on an outstanding warrant after a traffic stop at Walker Drive and Fairview for speeding in a school zone. The warrant charges destruction of property. Bail was set at $575.

At 5:49 p.m., a 24-year-old South Lake Tahoe woman was charged with DUI 1st alcohol and marijuana after reports she was driving up Carson Street at speeds of more than 60 mph. She was stopped in the Sportsman’s Warehouse parking lot. Bail was set at $1,000.

WEDNESDAY

At 2:49 p.m., a 28-year-old laborer was jailed after a traffic stop at South Carson and Old Clear Acre Road for an expired registration. He was also charged with driving on a license revoked for DUI. Bail was set at $749.

At 4:33 p.m., a 53-year-old man was charged with domestic battery 1st offense. He turned himself in at the sheriff’s office. Bail was set at $3,000.

THURSDAY

At 3:59 p.m., Sarina Welch, 20, was arrested at a motel on Caroline after other tenants advised she was in one of the rooms. She was arrested after dispatch advised she had two outstanding warrants. A search of the room revealed a small amount of meth and paraphernalia. Total bail was set at $$9,500.

At 4:31 p.m., an 18-year-old was arrested after deputies saw her driving 10 mph in a 25 zone on 5th Street near Stewart. She was held on a probation violation warrant. Bail was set at $3,000.

At 4:38 p.m., a 27-year-old was charged with domestic battery 1st offense after deputies responded to an address on Myles Way. He is accused of hitting his sister in law during an argument. Bail was set at $3,000.

At 6:35 p.m., a 41-year-old man was arrested after a three-car accident at Clearview and south Carson Street. The arrest report says the vehicle left the scene but that deputies followed the fluid trail from the vehicle to Clearview and Oak where it was found high centered on a short rock wall. The driver was charged with hit and run, driving on a suspended license and no proof of insurance. Her was also held on a Sparks municipal court warrant charging failure to appear. Bail was set at $2,205.
