Commissioners meet Wednesday afternoon

The Churchill County Commission will meet Wednesday at 1:15 p.m. at the commission chambers, 155 N. Taylor St.

Agenda items include the following:

Presentation recognizing Churchill County’s support and sponsorship of the 2019 Fallon Lions Club Junior Rodeo.

Update of current activities, plans, or actions related to the Bureau of Land Management’s Carson City District, with a special presentation regarding targeted grazing.

Application for community support funding in the amount of $5,000 for the Fallon Community Theater, Inc.

Approval of a Grant Agreement for $104,394 between the State of Nevada, Department Health and Human Services, Grants Management, Community Services Block Grant, and Churchill County Department of Social Services for Federal Fiscal Year 2020.

Decision to opt­out of being a member of the Negotiation Class certified in the In Re National Prescription Opiate.

Contribution to the city of Fallon for $18,940 for architectural services related to the construction of a Fixed Base Operations (FBO) building at the Fallon Municipal Airport.

Change of date of the first January 2020 meeting from January 2, 2020 to another date.
