The state Division of Environmental Protection has set a Nov. 13 workshop on proposed changes to the hazardous waste regulations.
A spokesman said the changes will better align Nevada’s regulations with federal regulations that officials say have undergone numerous amendments over the past 10 years.
The hearing is set for 10 a.m. in the Great Basin Conference Room at the Bryan State Office Building on South Stewart Street in Carson City and video conferenced to Las Vegas.
The proposed regulations are viewable on the NDEP website at https://ndep.nv.gov/land/waste/statutes-and-regulations
A printed copy can be obtained at the workshop or by calling 775-687-9464.
