Man arrested on warrant charging elderly exploitation says Carson City Sheriff's Office

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

FRIDAY

At 3:14 p.m., Gary Christiansen, 58, was arrested at an address on Sierra Nevada Lane on a warrant charging exploitation of the elderly. He also faces a P&P hold. Bail was set at $15,000.

SATURDAY

• At 7:29 p.m., Thomas McCowan, 42, was arrested on a charge of possession of cocaine after deputies were dispatched to the 2000 block of East William Street for a report of a possible domestic battery. The arrest report says the argument was verbal only. Deputies found a small amount of cocaine in two baggies. He was also held on a warrant charging domestic battery from a previous incident and possession of paraphernalia. Bail was set at $6,500.

SUNDAY

• At 7:08 p.m., a 51-year-old was arrested on a charge of DUI-first alcohol after deputies were dispatched to the Pizza Hut on North Carson Street for a report of a woman battering employees because her pizza was delayed. He was found sitting in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. His bail was set at $1,000.

FRIDAY

• At 7:08 p.m., a 51-year-old was arrested on a charge of DUI-first alcohol after deputies were dispatched to the Pizza Hut on North Carson Street for a report of a woman battering employees because her pizza was delayed. He was found sitting in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. His bail was set at $1,000.

• At 10:16 p.m., Allen Parkins, 22, and Michael Martin, 46, were arrested on multiple charges after deputies identified the vehicle they were driving as stolen. Both men were charged with burglary and possession of burglary tools after items in the vehicle were identified as stolen form the Casino Fandango. They were also charged with possession of meth and paraphernalia — syringes and a spoon —and possession of stolen property. Parkins was additionally charged with possession of the stolen vehicle. His bail was set at $37,000. Martin’s bail was set at $27,000.

MONDAY

• At 4:20 p.m., Levi Wood-Duran, 33, was arrested on charges of domestic battery-first and felony attempting to dissuade a witness after deputies were called to a residence on Bryan Circle where a witness reported hearing a woman yelling and another reporting a man on top of the woman, hitting her. The arrest report says he admitted to trying to take her phone away. His bail was set at $8,000.

• At 9:46 p.m., Robert Sheline, 33, was arrested after a traffic stop at Long and State streets. A search of his backpack in the vehicle found a meth pipe and small amount of meth residue. He was charged with possession of meth and paraphernalia. He was also held on a Clark County felony warrant. Bail was set at $6,500.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes.
