Nevada nursing homes awarded $2.66 million in CARES Act money

The Health Resources and Services Administration has awarded $2.66 million to 40 nursing homes in Nevada for their successful efforts to reduce COVID-19 infections this fall.

The grant money was announced by Nevada Sens. Jacky Rosen and Catherine Cortez Masto, both Democrats,

In a joint statement the senators said they are committed to doing everything they can in the Senate to protect vulnerable Nevadans.

Those nursing homes will begin receiving payments Dec. 9.
