At last, spring is in the air, vaccines have arrived, and a sense of hope is emerging. At CAPS, it has been a long year. We have not had our regular schedules, fundraisers, or public appearances.

We thought it was about time to let you know what is going on at CAPS and our hopeful plans for the future. We are planning to have Bark in the Park in the summer. Of course, this will depend on the governor’s orders in regards to COVID. We will let you when the date is set.

Our garage sale will be in the fall and we are asking for donations. We need gently used appliances, furniture, treadmills, and miscellaneous items. We do not need clothing. Don’t forget to call us when you clean out your garage and dedicated volunteers will pick up your items. Call 775-423-7500.

Our Murder Mystery has scheduled for Oct. 23 at the Fallon Convention Center. We already have the script and are ready to go. I know everyone is looking forward to an enchanting evening of fun, fantasy, and fellowship. It is like playing Clue but with real people. Colonel Mustard will not be present.

We are presently compiling a CAPS favorite cookbook to raise funds. If you have a favorite recipe, we would like to include it in our book. If you have a photo of your favorite pet, send that along with your recipe. Our email address is: caps@cccomm.net.
Presently we are trying to “Pup Grade” our kennels. We have been replacing the water system, repairing the furnace, and fixing the leaky washer. However, our kennels are in need of serious service. They need permanent roofs over the outdoor kennels and new flooring in the indoor kennels. We need guardian angels who can contribute expertise, supplies, or monetary assistance. If you are hoping to gain your wings, give us a call at 775-423-7500.

Most importantly, we want to thank each and everyone who helped us during these times. Fallon has the greatest and most generous people in the world! It is awesome to be a part of this community. Thank you.

LOOKING FOR A HOME
We have eight adorable, energetic Border Collie/Heeler/mix puppies. This is a foster-to-adopt opportunity for puppy parents. Call 775-423-7500 for details.

Policy, however, prohibits adopting out puppies or kittens under the age of six months to a home with children under five years of age. This is to protect both the children and the animal.

IN NEED OF
We desperately need Blue Buffalo puppy food! Presently, we have eight hungry puppies that are eating us out of house and home.

SHOUT OUT TO
Lahontan Valley News for giving us a voice in the community. Our tails are wagging for you!

All the folks who gave donations through Pay Pal. You are great pals to our pups!

Joan Strohauer for her generous donation. A pooch smooch to you!
