Married in Nashville, the couple moved to Virginia Beach, Va., where Ralph rose to lieutenant commander at Oceana Naval Air Station and Judy served as treasurer of the Officers’ Wives Club.
Following his commitment to the military, Ralph joined the private sector, eventually becoming a defense contractor in Washington, D.C. In 1987, the couple purchased the historic Matheson-Warfield mansion in Healdsburg, Calif., and spent five years restoring the home to its former glory. During his time spent in the Golden State, Ralph founded a successful computer consulting company; the couple moved to the area in 2000.
They have one daughter and two grandchildren in Santa Rosa, Calif.
