‘I’m stealing your truck,’ said man who didn’t steal truck, Carson City Sheriff says

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are presumed innocent unless convicted in court.
FRIDAY, JULY 30
• At 7:50 a.m., Darcy Patterson 39, was arrested on a felony P&P violation charge after deputies responded to a residence on Bunch Way for a report of a domestic dispute. He was also charged with violating suspended sentence conditions. He was held without bail.
• At 11:16 a.m., David Valenzuela, 40, was arrested on multiple charges after deputies responded to an unwanted subject at an address on Hells Bells. His mother advised he had a history of mental issues, carries a knife and was threatening to hit her with a baseball bat. She called back to report he had left the scene in a silver Nissan. Deputies spotted the vehicle heading away from the house and tried to stop it. The arrest report says the driver refused to stop and headed west on 5th Street then onto Fairview and I-580. Deputies were advised a felony assault with a deadly weapon had occurred. The vehicle was finally stopped on Rifle Range Road where the suspect fled on foot. He was finally stopped by multiple deputies using pepper spray. He was charged with assault with a deadly weapon for threatening his mother with the bat, elderly abuse, violating suspended sentence conditions, eluding an officer, speeding, running a stop sign and an improper lane change. Bail was set at $26,170
• At 4:58 p.m., two men were arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop for running a stop sign at Fall and Corbett streets. The vehicle was searched after a drug dog alerted to it. Deputies found paraphernalia including a scale, heroin residue and a small amount of meth inside. Corey Owens, 32, and Gregory Hoble, 26, were both charged with possession of heroin and paraphernalia. Owens was additionally charged with possession of a prescription drug without a prescription, driving on a revoked license and the stop sign violation. He was also held at the request of P&P. He was held without bail. Bail was set at $3,500 for Hoble.
• At 11:23 p.m., a 30-year-old man was arrested after deputies were called to a residence on Colorado for an unwanted subject. The residents said the defendant showed up at the front door and asked if everything was OK. When told it was a small family gathering, the defendant demanded to be let in to check on everybody. He was told no and threatened to call the police before leaving. He returned 10 minutes later and again demanded to come into the residence. He was arrested on charges of trespassing, disturbing the peace, harassment and violating bail conditions. Bail was set at $3,500.
SATURDAY
• At 2:57 a.m., a 43-year-old man was arrested after he fled into the Smith’s store when he was spotted hiding next to a parked car. When caught, he tried to prevent the deputy from cuffing him. Asked why he fled, he said he was smoking pot next to his girlfriend’s vehicle. He was charged with obstructing. Bail was set at $300.
• At 3:59 a.m., a 61-year-old man was charged with misuse of 911 after deputies were called to the Casino Fandango for an unwanted subject. The deputy called a cab for him and got him a chair to wait for it at the Marriott next door. Before the cab got there, he called 911 two times. While the deputy waited with him, he called 911 a third time and was arrested. Bail was set at $2,500.
• At 5:42 a.m., a 30-year-old woman was charged with domestic battery 1st offense after her husband reported she hit him in the eye in a dispute over feeding their infant child. Bail was set at $3,000.
• At 8:58 p.m., Jacob Watkins, 29, was arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop at Highway 50 and Lompa Lane for no license plate on the vehicle. The vehicle was searched to inventory it and deputies found 10 needles in the driver’s side door pocket along with heroin residue in several containers in the car. He was charged with possession of heroin and paraphernalia, no valid license and no proof of insurance. Bail was set at $3,700.
• At 9:15 p.m., a 23-year-old arborist was arrested at the Carson Nugget as an ex-felon failing to register. Bail was set at $150.
• At 11:06 p.m., Brandon McClure, 29, was charged with attempting to prevent a woman from calling police by trying to take her cellphone. The incident happened after she tried to prevent him and his brother from fighting over an Xbox. Bail was set at $5,000.
SUNDAY
• At 1:54 a.m., a 62-year-old man was charged as a drunk pedestrian after initially approaching a deputy saying he was having chest pains and shortness of breath and that he had a pacemaker. But after medical personnel arrived, the arrest report says he became uncooperative and highly agitated. He told deputies his medication was in a nearby motel room. When they went to the room, a 50-year-old answered the door but refused to cooperate with deputies, initially refusing to give his ID or name. He was charged with obstructing an officer and held on $300 bail. The other man was held on $50 bail.
• At 3:28 a.m., a 23-year-old was charged with DUI 1st alcohol after a traffic stop on Carson Street for speeding. Bail was set at $1,050.
• At 2:58 p.m., Alyssa Muñoz, 21, was charged with home invasion after allegedly attempting to force her way into a residence seeking to collect on a $60 debt. The residents told deputies she broke the front door of the residence. Bail was set at $25,000.
MONDAY
• At 3:24 p.m., a 25-year-old was arrested at a Roop Street apartment after calling 911 three times and reportedly threatening to kill a substance abuse counselor. Deputies arrested him after being told he was on alternative sentencing with a no-alcohol condition. The arrest report says he was under the influence with a breath sample of 0.26 percent. He was charged with unlawful use of 911, harassment, obstructing officers and the deferred sentencing violation. Bail was set at $5,900.
• At 5:52 p.m., Brandon Saaf, 29, was arrested on multiple felony charges after deputies responded to the Port of Subs on North Carson Street for a report of a man getting into the driver’s seat of an occupied vehicle, then exiting and leaving the scene. When apprehended, he admitted getting into two vehicles but leaving when he saw there were children inside along with a woman breastfeeding an infant. When he got in the other vehicle, a truck, the owner confronted him and demanded to know what he was doing. He reportedly told the man “I’m stealing your truck.”  Then he got out and left the scene.  Saaf was charged with two counts of grand larceny of a vehicle and four counts of child endangerment — one for each of the children in the woman’s vehicle. All are felonies. Bail was set at $140,000.

TUESDAY, AUG. 3
• At 6:41 a.m., a teenager was charged with domestic battery for hitting her father. She was also charged as a minor consuming alcohol. Bail was set at $3,150.
• At 9:12 a.m., a 21-year-old was arrested on two outstanding warrants after deputies were dispatched to an address on Spear for a verbal dispute. Bail was set at $930.
WEDNESDAY
• At 11:15 a.m., a 40-year-old was arrested on an outstanding contempt of court warrant after a traffic stop at Saliman and Telegraph for speeding. Bail was set at $250.
THURSDAY
• At 8:41 a.m., Marcos Quintana, 27, was arrested after a traffic stop on Roop Street for no license plate and failure to use turn signals. The vehicle was searched after a drug dog alerted to the presence of controlled substances and Quintana returned as not having a driver’s license. Deputies found a baggie with a small amount of white crystal and a piece of foil with burnt residue on it. He was charged with possession of meth and paraphernalia, no vehicle registration, no valid license and no proof of insurance. Bail was set at $4,250.
