Carson City Fire Department will be conducting wildland fuels reduction prescribed fire operations in the Voltaire Canyon area today and through the remainder of the week.
Smoke will be visible. Please do not report. If you are sensitive to smoke or have respiratory problems, you may need to keep your windows closed or stay indoors depending on smoke conditions.
For the duration of the scheduled operations, prescribed burning will only be conducted when weather conditions are favorable. Carson City Fire Department considers all environmental factors and through the service of highly trained personnel hopes to reduce the potential for fire hazards.
