The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are presumed innocent unless convicted in court.
TUESDAY, JUNE 29
• At 2:32 p.m., Tyler Portue, 27, Reno, was arrested on multiple charges after a woman reported a man stealing Amazon packages from her front door step. Dispatch reported his driver’s license was suspended. Because the license was suspended and the vehicle wasn’t registered, a tow truck was called and the vehicle searched. A black pouch in the car contained two bags containing more than two grams of heroin and two containing two grams of meth along with a “tooter straw.” In addition, deputies found prescription pills in the vehicle and two scales and a meth pipe. Portue was charged with possession and possession for sale, possession of paraphernalia and prescription pills, a suspended license and no registration. Bail was set at $24,050.
THURSDAY, JULY 1
• At 12:04 a.m., Kyle Wilson, 36, was arrested on a felony charge of attempted home invasion after a neighbor reported him breaking into another apartment on Winnie Lane and fighting with the occupant. He was also wanted on a felony warrant charging battery by a prisoner. When he refused to come out of his own apartment, deputies breached the door and fired pepper ball rounds into the apartment. He finally complied with commands to come out and was arrested on the two felony counts. He was also charged with obstruction. Bail was set at $46,000.
• At 6:23 p.m., a 30-year-old was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant after deputies were called to the south AM-PM for a report of a man passed out in his vehicle. Bail was set at $3,000.
• At 11:34 p.m., Nathaniel Islas, 39, was arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop for a broken tail light on William Street. A search of his person found a rolled up dollar bill and a hollow pen with white residue on it. The arrest report says he admitted to using meth earlier in the day. He was charged with the tail light violation, possession of meth and paraphernalia. Bail was set at $3,500.
