Woman faces multiple charges after fleeing crash, Carson City Sheriff says

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are presumed innocent unless convicted in court.
THURSDAY, JULY 8
• At 7:59 p.m., Chad Mitchell, 50, was arrested at a storage unit on Highway 50 on multiple charges including possession of both meth and heroin for sale. The arrest report says the storage unit contained more than 100 small baggies, seven digital scales, six spoons with residue on them and three meth pipes. Deputies also seized 1.3 grams of heroin and 1.4 ounces of meth. Mitchell was charged with possession of meth for sale, possession of heroin for sale, possession of paraphernalia. He was also held on a confirmed felony warrant issued in Reno and charged with providing false information to avoid prosecution. Total bail was set at $63,500.
FRIDAY, JULY 9
• At 10:10 p.m., Louvain Erwin, 41, was arrested on multiple charges after a traffic stop at West Winnie Lane and Russett Way for a broken tail light. He was also charged with possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia, driving on a license revoked for DUI, possession of prescription drugs without a prescription, no proof of insurance and the tail light violation. Bail was set at $6,125.
SATURDAY, july 10
• At 2:45 a.m., a 45-year-old woman was arrested in the parking lot of Woody’s Casino on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. Bail was set at $3,000.
• At 4:12 p.m., Randy Easter, 57, was arrested after a traffic stop at Stewart and Musser for a broken windshield. He was arrested on a felony warrant issued in Louisiana by the Department of Parole and Probation. He was held without bail.
SUNDAY, july 11
• At 4:52 p.m., Maria Mendez, 26, was arrested on multiple charges after a vehicle crash on William Street while fleeing from deputies. She was apprehended outside El Mundo Latino. She was charged with two counts of possessing a credit card that didn’t belong to her, one of possession of heroin and one of obstructing an officer. Bail was set at $12,800. Also arrested in connection with the car crash was Isabella Kierulf, 28. She was charged with possession of heroin and paraphernalia , possession of a stolen pair of shoes and obstructing for fleeing. Her bail was set at $6,250.
MONDAY, JULY 12
• At 5:08 a.m., Zachary Law, 28, was charged with fourth degree arson after staff at Casino Fandango reported seeing him light a book of matches and put it in the gutter spout at the south entrance of the casino. The staff member put the fire out and called deputies. Bail was set at $5,000.
• At 7:49 a.m., Lee Vaivai, 28, was arrested after deputies were called to a business on John Street for a male passed out in front of the building. He was arrested on an outstanding warrant and held without bail on a P&P priority 5 hold.
• At 5:12 p.m., Jennifer Henderson, 39, was arrested on two counts of child abuse, two counts of child endangerment on her two sons and domestic battery on her boyfriend after deputies were called to an apartment on Corbett. The 10-year-old said she got mad after he asked to watch a program on her phone and started slamming on the brakes of the vehicle, causing him and his little brother to nearly fall out of their seats. He said he was punched repeatedly by Henderson as he tried to keep her away from him. The boyfriend told deputies she was mad when she arrived home and went after the two children. He said she hit him, bit him and scratched him when he tried to keep her away from the boys. Bail was set at $88,000.

TUESDAY, JULY 13
• At 1:58 a.m., a 58-year-old woman was jailed for civil protective custody after the hospital called to advise she was extremely intoxicated and they couldn’t reach her husband to take her home. She was released after sobering up.
• At 4:09 p.m., Cody Boling, 23, was charged with domestic battery and assault with a deadly weapon after the arrest report says he discovered his girlfriend was cheating on him. He is accused of pointing a handgun at her then shoving her to the floor. Bail was set at $23,000.
WEDNESDAY
• At 1:58 a.m., a 39-year-old woman was charged with DUI 1st alcohol and child endangerment after a traffic stop at 5th Street and Country Village. She was also charged with no license in possession and a broken license plate light. Bail was set at $3,535.
• At 3:07 a.m., Anthony Virueta, 21, was arrested on multiple charges after a deputy went to investigate his vehicle in the old K-Mart parking lot. He was searched after a loaded 9mm magazine was found in the center console and a Glock pistol was in his waistband. In addition, the arrest report says a small amount of cocaine was found. He was charged with possession of drugs, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a firearm while intoxicated and contributing to the delinquency of a minor for providing alcohol to the 20-year-old woman with him. Finally, he was charged with DUI 1st offense. His bail was set at $9,000. The juvenile woman with him was charged as a minor consuming alcohol and with possession of marijuana under age 21. Her bail was set at $650.
• At 4:45 a.m., Elsie Wiegand-Gilstrap, 53, was charged with felony DUI (third offense) after a traffic stop at William and Gold Dust Way for a turn signal violation. She was also charged with operating a vehicle without a required ignition interlock device. Bail was set at $20,025.
THURSDAY
• At 5:31 a.m., a 21-year-old cook was arrested after deputies responded to Stewart and William streets for a report of a car crash. The vehicle hit a traffic light pole before parking in the Cracker Box parking lot. He was charged with DUI 1st alcohol and destruction of property. Bail was set at $3,500.
• At 9:38 p.m., a 21-year-old man was charged with violating a temporary protective order by contacting his mother the same day as he was served with the order. He was also charged for slipping out of the handcuffs and resisting arrest. Bail was set at $5,500.
FRIDAY
• At 1:41 a.m., a 39-year-old woman was arrested on Carson Street after a deputy recognized her as having an outstanding warrant. Bail was set at $3,000.
