There will be intermittent closures at the intersections of Northridge Drive and Carriage Crest Drive, Spooner Drive, and Southcrest Road. Please use caution and follow marked detour routes.
• Saliman Road will have lane closures and lane shifts in both directions between 5th Street and Fairview Drive, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for work associated with new development and new roadway improvements.
The Nevada Department of Transportation recently approved a contract for a project to resurface approximately two miles of U.S. 50 between Asphalt Drive and Nichols Lane in eastern Carson City. The project, scheduled for this July, is to resurface the aging highway surface. Drivers should anticipate lane and brief intersection closures when the road is resurfaced. Speed limits will intermittently be reduced as low as 35 mph through the work zone. The project will be using the chip seal method, which consists of a 3/8-inch layer of new asphalt and roadway gravel sealed with a top layer of oil.
