The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 16
• At 7:38 a.m., a 32-year-old man was arrested after a traffic stop at Long and Molly for running a stop sign. He was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant and charged with driving on a suspended license. Bail was set at $1,500.
THURSDAY
• At 2:06 p.m., a 34-year-old man was arrested on a charge of violating an extended protective order issued by Carson District Court by repeatedly contacting the victim. Bail was set at $3,000.
SATURDAY
• At 1:45 a.m., a 50-year-old was charged with DUI 1st alcohol after deputies were called to the Nugget parking lot for a report of a man passed out in his vehicle which was running. Bail was set at $1,000.
• At 6:19 p.m., a 29-year-old was arrested at a residence on Poole Way. He was charged with domestic battery 1st offense on his uncle, who said he was punched multiple times in the face. Bail was set at $3,000.
SUNDAY
• At 9:01 p.m., a 38-year-old woman was arrested on two outstanding warrants after deputies went to investigate a motor home in a parking lot at Curry and Ann streets The warrants charge contempt of court and violation of suspended sentence conditions. Bail was set at $6,000.
• At 11:23 p.m., a 33-year-old was charged with driving on a suspended license after a traffic stop for no license plate on his vehicle. Bail was set at $500.
MONDAY
• At 12:57 a.m., a 43-year-old Reno man was charged with violating bail conditions after a deputy spotted him slumped over the wheel of his vehicle in a South Carson Street parking lot. Bail was set at $1,500.
• At 3 a.m., Dennis Whiteford, 54, was charged with possession of meth after a traffic stop on Appion Way for speeding. He was also charged with no proof of insurance, an expired license plate and suspended driver’s license. Bail was set at $3,625.
• At 4:04 a.m., Calvin Dupont, 56, was charged with felony possession of a credit card not belonging to him after a deputy saw him sleeping on the sidewalk outside a liquor store. He was also charged with disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $5,150.
• At 11:56 a.m., William Sells, 61, was arrested on multiple charges after a traffic stop for no vehicle registration on Highway 50. Dispatch reported his license was suspended and he admitted he didn’t have registration or insurance. Dispatch also reported Sells was a habitual criminal under lifetime supervision by P&P for several crimes including burglaries and theft. He was charged with possession of burglary tools, a P&P violation, the suspended license, suspended registration and no proof of insurance. He was held without bail.
• At 8:04 p.m., a 25-year-old woman was arrested after deputies responded to an apartment complex for a report of a woman throwing rocks at a man. She was charged with domestic battery 1st offense. Bail was set at $3,000.
• At 11:39 p.m., a 47-year-old woman was arrested after a deputy saw her sleeping on the sidewalk in front of the FISH store on Carson Street. She refused to comply when told she couldn’t sleep there and became verbally aggressive. When the deputy told her she was under arrest for disorderly conduct, she rolled away and struggled to stop the deputy from controlling her hands, including grabbing his leg. Other deputies helped control her and cuff her. She was also charged with resisting with force. Bail was set at $2,650. A search of the vehicle found a bag containing hundreds of car keys, house keys and doorknobs.
TUESDAY
• At 2:08 a.m., Chelsie Parilla, 36, was arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop on Carson Street for no license plate. A search found a meth pipe in her bra and meth in the vehicle. She was charged with possession of meth and paraphernalia as well as the license plate violation. Bail was set at $3,525.
