Calling 911 to demand money lands man in jail, Carson City Sheriff's Office says

 The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

MONDAY
• At 5:04 p.m., a Sun Valley woman was arrested on a Nye County misdemeanor warrant after she was stopped on Long street for an expired temporary registration tag. Bail was set at $340.


• At 5:32 p.m., Joseph mills, 28 was arrested after he was stopped near Carson and Winnie while deputies were searching for a burglary suspect. While examining him, the arrest report says deputies found a small baggie containing heroin in his pocket. He was charged with possession of the drug. Bail was set at $2,500.


TUESDAY
• At 12:37 a.m., a 27-year-old man was arrested on a charge of misusing the 911 emergency number. Deputies said he called dispatch a total of four times demanding help getting money from his mother and when they advised him that wasn’t an emergency but a civil matter, began shouting profanities at them in the lobby of Carson Tahoe Hospital. His bail was set at $2,500 on the gross misdemeanor charge.
