Gov. Steve Sisolak on Wednesday announced the first batch of small business grants under the Pandemic Emergency Technical Support (PETS) program.
The program is run by the state treasurer’s office and Governor’s Office of Economic Development and provides small business operators with grants up to $10,000.
“Nevada’s small businesses are the backbone of our state and, thanks to the recently expanded small business grant program, we can continue to help Nevada’s small businesses keep their doors open, workers employed and allow them to keep on providing the essential services we need,” Sisolak said in a news release.
The five businesses on the list are Fernley’s Physical Therapy, Antique Rose Florist in Henderson, Chef KP Creations in Las Vegas, Vinny’s Pizzeria in Boulder City and the Las Vegas Lights FC in Las Vegas.
Sisolak said the applications are being prioritized to help businesses that have been impacted the most by the pandemic including bars, pubs and taverns, arts and culture organizations, non-profits and disadvantaged businesses.
