Carson High baseball fell to Bishop Manogue, 14-4, in five innings to open regional play Tuesday night.
The Senators, who entered regional play as the No. 6 seed, played through two innings with a 3-3 draw against the Miners.
However, four runs in the fourth and six runs in the fifth gave the third-seeded Miners enough cushion to close the door.
The Senators are still alive in the 2021 Northern Nevada Class 5A regional baseball tournament and will get a home game Wednesday at 4 p.m. against the winner of No. 7 Reed and No. 9 Galena.
The Raiders and the Grizzlies will play at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Carson's field, with the Senators getting the winner later in the afternoon.

Thomas gives Carson early lead
In the first inning, Carson's Trey Thomas homered to right field to put the blue and white up 2-0.
Casey Martensen, who was on base for the Thomas homer via a walk, also drove in a run.
Jose Fausto was 1-for-1 at the plate with an RBI.
Sam Kane, Logan Pruski and Drew Scolari combined for 11 of the Miners' RBIs.
