A fire that killed a Churchill County man on May 12 remains under investigation by the Nevada State Fire Marshall.
According to Churchill County Sheriff Richard Hickox, the man killed in the fire has been identified as Randolph “Randy” Banovich, 75.
Fallon Churchill Fire Chief Jared Dooley said the trailer fire occurred at 4333 Reno Highway. He said 31 firefighters and 13 apparatus responded to the call that was received shortly before 1 a.m.
“The fire was put under control in short order with none of the adjacent trailers receiving any substantial damage from the fire,” Dooley said. “We were on scene approximately two hours before returning to quarters.”
Dooley said any information received by the Nevada Fire State Marshall will be released.
