Carson City road report for Sept. 13-19, 2021

Road report as of Thursday. The following applies to Sept. 13-19:
Road closures are expected at the following locations due to road/utility work:
• Curry Street between 2nd Street and 5th Street will be closed, Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for road construction. Pedestrian detours will also be in place. Please plan accordingly.
• Kings Canyon Road west of Longview Way will be closed for roadway reconstruction. Only local residential access will be provided. The Waterfall Trailhead and parking area is also closed until further notice. Please do not come up Kings Canyon at this time.
• Knoblock Road between Panamint Road and Ballarat Drive will be closed, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., for road construction. Please follow detour signs and plan accordingly.
Lane restrictions are expected at the following locations due to road/utility work:
• Long line and short line striping and painting will take place citywide, Sunday-Friday, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Please use caution and do not pass painting trucks. Also, please do not drive in wet paint.
• Curry Street between Ann Street and William Street will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-5 p.m., for a water main extension project. Please use follow detour signs and plan accordingly.
• Long Street between Roop Street and Rand Street will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for roadway reconstruction. Please expect delays and consider an alternate route.
• Marian Street at Long Street will be flagger controlled, Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for roadway reconstruction. Please expect delays and consider an alternate route.
• Molly Street at Long Street will be flagger controlled, Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for roadway reconstruction. Please expect delays and consider an alternate route.
• Rand Street between William Street and Camille Drive will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for roadway reconstruction. Please expect delays and consider an alternate route.
• Sophia Street between Curry Street and Nevada Street will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., for a water main extension project. Please follow detour signs and plan accordingly.
• State Street at Long Street will be flagger controlled, Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for roadway reconstruction. Please expect delays and consider an alternate route.
• Vista Lane between Silver Oak Drive and Medical Parkway will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., for a water main connection project. Please follow detour signs and plan accordingly.
LYON COUNTY
• Highway 50 East lane reduction is ongoing on the northbound travel lane from Dayton Valley Road to Townsend Street for underground utility repairs. The right lane will be closed through the end of October.
