Carson City road report for September 20 to 26, 2021

Road report as of Thursday. The following applies to Sept. 20-26:
Road closures are expected at the following locations due to road/utility work:
Curry Street between 5th Street and Musser Street will be closed in the northbound direction, Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for road construction. Pedestrian closures and detours will also be in place. Please plan accordingly.
Kings Canyon Road west of Longview Way remains closed for roadway reconstruction. Only local residential access will be provided. The Waterfall Trailhead and parking area is closed. There is no access or parking for the trails. Please do not come up Kings Canyon unless you live in the area.
 
Lane restrictions are expected at the following locations due to road/utility work:
Long line and short line striping and painting will take place citywide, Sunday-Friday, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Please use caution and do not pass painting trucks. Also, please do not drive in wet paint.
Clear Creek Road between Carson Street and Vista Grande Boulevard will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Wednesday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., for pavement preservation. Please plan accordingly for minor delays.
College Parkway between I-580 and Lompa Lane may experience heavier than normal traffic, Wednesday-Sunday, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. for a special event. Please use caution in the area.
Curry Street between Ann Street and William Street will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., for a water main extension project. Please use follow detour signs and plan accordingly.
Deer Run Road between Highway 50 and Sedge Road will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Monday and Tuesday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., for pavement preservation. Please use caution and expect delays.
Long Street between Roop Street and Rand Street will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for roadway reconstruction. Please expect delays and consider an alternate route.
Long Street at Roop Street will be flagger controlled, Tuesday and Wednesday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for roadway reconstruction. Please expect delays and consider and alternate route.
Marian Avenue at Long Street will be flagger controlled, Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for roadway reconstruction. Please expect delays and consider an alternate route.
Molly Street at Long Street will be flagger controlled, Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for roadway reconstruction. Please expect delays and consider an alternate route.
Rand Street between William Street and Camille Drive will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for roadway reconstruction. Please expect delays and consider an alternate route.
Research way between College Parkway and Goni Road will have heavy traffic, Wednesday-Sunday, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. for a special event. Please use caution in the area.
Sophia Street between Curry Street and Nevada Street will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for a water main extension project. Please follow detour signs and plan accordingly.
State Street at Long Street will be flagger controlled, Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for roadway reconstruction. Please expect delays and consider an alternate route.
The Fuji Park driveway and parking lot located off of Clear Creek Road will be under construction, Wednesday and Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., for pavement preservation.
