Carson City supervisors to hear report of city jail conditions

The Board of Supervisors will hold its first meeting of 2022 at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday. Supervisors will gather in the Robert “Bob” Crowell Board Room of the Community Center on 851 E. William St.
Among their agenda items:
• The Sheriff’s Office will present its biannual report on city jail conditions, along with any inmate deaths.
• The Planning Commission, Cultural Commission, and Redevelopment Authority all have members with expiring terms. The supervisors will consider applications for open seats on each board. Some members are seeking reappointment.
• The board may award Nichols Consulting Engineers a contract not to exceed $390,000 for design services on the East William Street Complete Streets Project.
• Blackstone Ranch North is seeking approval on a tentative subdivision map, creating 137 single family residential lots on East Robinson Street and North Saliman Road.
• Carson City Health and Human Services is seeking approval to purchase two vehicles, not to exceed $72,000.
