The success of the Campagni Cares program relies on the community to bring forward valuable organizations in our area, teaching the community about the variety of resources and opportunities offered.
This month, the selected recipient is unique, using horses to teach vulnerable youth to become the most capable version of themselves. Through programming, they are taught skills to help cope with challenging life situations and experience a happier, healthier, more productive future.
Between Horses & Humans was selected after being nominated several times by local community members, including school guidance counselors and psychologists.
The nonprofit operates in the Minden/Gardnerville area but is open to youth from the surrounding area as long as they are open to learning and being taught. Services are offered at no cost to participants.
Between Horses & Humans is hosting a barn dance and barbecue fundraising event this month, Galloping Gala. Tickets can be purchased online at www.betweenhorsesandhumans.org/fundraising-events.
