Carson City Toyota has launched the Campagni Cares program, with its first selected recipient of 2022: the Doula Co-op of Reno.
The Doula Co-op is a new nonprofit in the Northern Nevada region, with a mission to bring accessible doula services to families in Nevada. A doula refers to a person who provides emotional, physical, educational, and community support to families throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.
“We love learning about smaller, less mainstream nonprofits, because it allows us to help spread the word about the wide variety of resources available to our community,” said Jeff Campagni, general manager of Carson City Toyota. “With the Doula Co-op of Reno being so new, we loved that they were already getting community support through nominations. It just shows there is a need and a desire for these types of services.”
Doula Co-op of Reno provides services directly to the Medicaid population, removing financial barriers for parents and allowing them a choice in their own care.
