No room for expansion
Hello Carson City,
I have lived in Carson City approximately 60 years and it has been very nice. We raised four children, and they are still raising their children. We escaped from living in congested cities to what was mainly a farming community. There was 12,000 in town and about 7,000 in Minden and Gardnerville. We have grown to about 60,000 and they’re building all around town.
Today’s newspaper was all about expanding buildings for future services to our town. Well, wake up people! How much longer are we going to expand? The traffic is awful in town. How are we going to accommodate 30,000 more people and where is the water going to come from? Put a stop to building any more housing. We are full!
Please, just finish what is in progress and let us move on as we are. If people need business properties, let them move into the empty buildings around town. I suggest converting the Ormsby Hotel to help veterans medically. Just one man’s opinion.
