The Carson City Sheriff’s Office served warrants in the 1500 block of East Robinson Street in Carson City on Wednesday evening in connection with a shooting that occurred Saturday night near Lee and Roop streets.

The sheriff’s office had reported the shooting was related to a domestic dispute, with one male shot but treated for his injuries.

On Wednesday, Sheriff Ken Furlong said two people involved in Carson were being questioned, while a simultaneous search warrant was executed in Reno. He said three people had been taken into custody in Reno, including the suspected shooter, a male resident of Carson City.

“We sent officers up to Reno to assist in the search,” Furlong said.

He said as far as he knew Wednesday night, the male victim from Saturday’s shooting was doing OK.

The suspected shooter, Carson City resident Christopher Moreno, was taken into custody Wednesday night in Reno, according to CCSO.

Moreno was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder with a deadly weapon, battery with a deadly weapon, 2 counts of assault with deadly weapon and ex-felon in possession of firearm.

In Carson, residents Celeste Moreno and Joselyn Hernandez were arrested on suspicion of harboring a fugitive. Two others also were arrested in Reno.
