The Capital City Arts Initiative announces that its $500 Aim scholarship was awarded to Paloma Moon from Douglas High School for her Scarlett, pen and ink drawing.

Graduating seniors continuing their education in the fall at a college or a technical school qualified for the scholarship. Moon will attend the University of Nevada, Reno in the fall.

Spring Forward 2023, a Capital City Arts Initiative student show, is in the Community Development Building (the Brick), 108 E. Proctor St., now through Friday.

The Brick is open to the public Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to noon and 1-4 p.m. An exhibition video tour with artists’ interviews will be online soon.

The exhibit includes a variety of art media including ceramics, drawing, painting, and mixed media. This show is another in CCAIs ongoing series of student exhibitions in the Brick.
