Lane reductions on U.S. 50 In eastern Carson City this week

Lane reductions will take place on U.S. Highway 50 in eastern Carson City from Tuesday, Aug. 13 to Wednesday, Aug. 14 as part of preliminary engineering for future Nevada Department of Transportation highway improvements, according to NDOT.

A moving work zone, with intermittent single lane closures, will be between Russell Way and Empire Ranch Road, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., each day for roadway core sampling.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area when possible, and to allow extra travel time if needing to drive in the work zone.

The road work schedule is subject to change.
