Man arrested in New Year’s Day robberies in Carson City

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office made arrested a man accused of two armed robberies on Jan. 1 in Carson City.

On Tuesday, deputies arrested Adelaido Aragon-Rueda. He is accused of an armed robbery in the area of North Carson Street and College Parkway, along with armed robbery occurred in the area of Fairview and Desatoya drives.

Patrol Deputies later located Aragon-Rueda in the area of Hot Springs Road and Nye Lane at 11:15 a.m. Aragon-Rueda was arrested on suspicion of: robbery with a deadly weapon (two counts); battery with a deadly weapon; burglary with a firearm (two counts); prohibited person in possession of a firearm; and conceal/destroy evidence. Bail was set at $80,000.

Aragon-Rueda has no valid forms of identification and Detectives are currently working with federal agencies to confirm his identity.
