Sheriff’s Log: Man arrested on suspicion of robbery with a deadly weapon

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

Carson City

FRIDAY

At 9:04 p.m., Timothy Jim, 21, was arrested on suspicion of felony counts of robbery with a deadly weapon, burglary with a deadly weapon and conspiracy to commit a crime. Bail was set at $50,000.

At 9:16 p.m., David Bilak, 45, was arrested on suspicion of possessing a short-barrelled shotgun and assault with a deadly weapon, both felonies. He was arrested at a home on the East Long Street. Bail was set at $25,000.

SATURDAY

At 4:30 a.m., a 55-year-old Reno man was arrested on suspicion of attempting to use a credit card without the owner’s consent and attempting to obtain money under false pretenses. The arrest was made at the Carson Nugget. Bail was set at $3,000 on the two counts.

At 6:45 a.m., a 50-year-old Carson City man turned himself in on a warrant charging domestic battery. He was ordered held in lieu of $3,000 bail.

At 9:38 a.m., a 65-year-old Carson man was arrested on suspicion of trespassing and making threats after returning to the Save-Mart on Highway 50 East after being told by the manager not to come into the business and bother customers by asking for money. He allegedly threatened the manager. Bail was set at $650.

At 6:20 p.m., Joshua Stephens, 30, was arrested at a home on Applegate Way on a warrant charging him with home invasion and domestic battery, third offense that occurred 10 days earlier. Both charges are felonies. He was also was arrested on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of pretrial conditions, misdemeanors. Total bail was set at $41,300.

At 8:31 p.m., Vincent Moriarty, 57, was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of drugs and possession of paraphernalia after deputies were called to a room in the Nugget Inn. The drug was methamphetamine. Bail was set at $3,500.

At 9:26 p.m., a 29-year-old Carson woman was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery and obstructing an officer after deputies were sent to Fairview and Bob White drives. The male victim had a bite mark on his arm and a small cut above his eye. A search revealed she had a failure to appear warrant issued in Reno. Total bail was set at $3,845.

At 11:19 p.m., a 61-year-old Carson man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, first offense after a traffic stop at Musser and Carson streets. Bail was set at $1,000.

SUNDAY

A 28-year-old Carson man was arrested at 7:45 a.m., on suspicion of attempted petit larceny from Walmart shortly after noon Saturday. Bail was set at $250.

At 12:33 a.m., a 21-year-old Carson woman was arrested outside Jimmy G’s on Carson Street after deputies saw a man carrying her across the street. When asked, he put the woman down but she began to fell and curse, then kick the ground. When she tried to kick the deputy, he called for a second unit and, according to the arrest report, the woman got angrier and more violent, fighting with both officers and kicking at them. She was arrested on suspicion of gross misdemeanor battery on an officer and misdemeanors of disorderly conduct and obstructing/resisting. Bail was set at $2,950.

At 11:54 p.m., a 19-year-old was arrested at his Hot Springs Road apartment on a warrant charging probation violations. During the arrest, officers discovered drugs — psychedelic mushrooms and Xanax. He was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance and gross misdemeanor possession of a drug without a prescription. He was held without bail because of the probation violation.
