FIDDLER ON THE ROOF TICKETS

Performing Arts of Churchill County presents the all-ages community musical “Fiddler on the Roof” March 1, 2, 7, 8 and 9 at 7 p.m. with a 1 p.m. matinee March 2.

All performances will be held at the Churchill County High School Theatre.

Advance tickets may be purchased for $20 from paccnv.org beginning Jan. 19 at 8 a.m. Tickets will also be available for $20 at the door as seating allows.

PACC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization promoting the arts culture in Fallon and Churchill County. The community is invited to participate in the PACC program as a performer, technician, volunteer or audience member.

CHURCHILL KIDS CHOIR

Churchill Kids Choir spring season rehearsals began Jan. 23 from 4:15 to 5:30 p.m. at Numa Elementary School in Fallon. The choir is open to all students currently enrolled in third through eighth grades. Information and pre-registration are available through paccnv.org and auditions are not required at this time.

CKC is directed by long-time music educator Tom Fleming and accompanist Noreen Swenson as part of the nonprofit Performing Arts of Churchill County program.

A $30 annual fee is required once every school calendar year. Current members who paid during the fall season will not have to pay again. Spring concert show dates will be announced at a later time.


SPIELBERG TO PERFORM IN FALLON

A long-time elite member of the prestigious Steinway Artist Roster, Robin Spielberg has a half billion streams of her music across the globe. Her newest album (her 24th studio recording) is “Downtown.“

Spielberg will be performing Fallon on Feb. 17 at the Barkley Theater.

The year’s first performance at the Oats Park Arts Center is rapidly approaching, and with the experience and numerous accolades to prove it, Spielberg is hailed as one of America’s most popular contemporary female pianists/composers.

Spielberg’s performance at the Barkley Theater begins at 7 p.m. The box office, Art Bar and galleries open at 6 p.m. Tickers are members $17, non-members $20 and youth and students with valid student identification, $10.

LAHONTAN VALLEY FINE ARTS INVITATIONAL

The Churchill Arts Council’s 11th biennial Lahontan Valley Fine Arts Invitational runs to Feb. 23.

This event is the largest invitational yet, with more than 50 pieces on display created by local artists.

Artists include Trista Dorman, Jackson Moon, Jaime Sammons, Kevin Sammons, Suzie Slaybaugh, Denise Johnson, Edith Isidoro Mills, Kathleen Williams Miller, Ocean Riddle, Michelle Nelsen, Kim Rowlett, Vanessa Burch Urquhart, Linda Hammond, Reid Sewell, Diane Sewell, Mary Darby, Lori Bishop, Jeanne Evatt, Marie Nygren, Loretta Burden, Larry Neel, Tedd McDonald, Diane Hansen, Claudia Hutchings, Casey Thorpe, Randy Summers, Jeannine Summers, Sheree Jensen, Ellen Brandfonbrener, Nettie Rickerson, Kim Lamb, Julie Lamb and Rico Lutao.

The exhibit showcases a wide range of media, including sculpture, photography, textiles, and paintings. All of the art is available for purchase.
