On Saturday, Dayton deputies with the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a residence in Dayton for a report of child pornography. Upon arrival, deputies investigated the incident, and images and videos of prepubescent children engaging in sexual acts were discovered on electronic devices within the residence.
The devices located with the child pornography belonged to Dayton resident Mark Prudente.
Prudente was arrested and booked into the Lyon County Jail on charges of possession of child pornography.
Total bail was set for $120,000.
It was found that Prudente is a coach for the Silverada Little League in Dayton, coaching juvenile females.
No evidence collected contained illegal images of possible players on his team. However, the LCSO believes the community and parents should be aware of this matter. An emergency temporary protective order was granted overnight banning Prudente from the Little League.
