Pink Elephant Kitchen is closing its South Carson Street location but still offering Thai food at local farmers markets.

A restaurant spokesperson confirmed the last day of restaurant operations was Wednesday. The spokesperson told the Appeal the location had been in business more than two years. Patrons were still ordering food inside the restaurant Wednesday.

A sign on the front door told customers Pink Elephant Kitchen would be moving its frozen curry operation “to a new space in Reno.”

“Although we will no longer have a dining space, we will continue to have hot Thai curry and other dishes available every Sunday, year-round, at Idlewild Park in Reno @riversidefarmersmarketreno,” the sign said. “Thank you to all our customers for your unrelenting support. P.S. We will be at Carson City Farmers Market this summer.”
