Churchill Kids Choir presents their choral production of “A Christmas Carol” Dec. 10 in the Numa Elementary School multipurpose room beginning at 6 p.m.
Admission is free and the general public is invited to attend.
Cast members are in third through eighth grades from various schools within Churchill County. As Ebenezer Scrooge, ArlieAnne Wood handles both the miserly attitude and the ultimate transformation of the lead role with an expert touch. Sadie Perazzo portrays the Ghost of Christmas Past, Raegan Amerine is the Ghost of Christmas Present and the Ghost of Christmas Future is Madison Moosman.
It’s clear the chorus members are having a great time as they belt out the eight songs, including “Holiday Hoedown” and “We Got Love,” with high energy accompanying the choreography. In fact, Andrew Samaguey who plays Bob Cratchit, said he joined CKC because he “really loves” singing, acting and making friends.
Penelope Derby flashed a big smile when she said that she joined the production because her sister was in CKC last year and it seemed like a fun thing to try. Derby portrays the iconic Tiny Tim.
CKC is directed by Thomas Fleming, Noreen Swenson and Assistant Manager Patty Fleming as part of the nonprofit Performing Arts of Churchill County. Rehearsal coach Angelina DeNigro and choreographer Cassidy Mitchell complete the production team.
Ahead of the performance, the choir will also lead Christmas carols at the city of Fallon’s tree Dec. 6 lighting ceremony on Maine Street at 6 p.m.
