Night Off the Streets will hold its third annual Flannel and Frost fundraiser Friday, Jan. 24 at the Governor’s Mansion, 606 Mountain St.

Doors open at 5 p.m. The event will feature Basque food, raffle prizes, a live auction, and music performed by Catfish Carl. Participants are encouraged to wear their best flannel fashions. The Carson City Elks Lodge will serve as hosts.

Proceeds will help support the Night Off the Streets warming center and will add to funds designated for obtaining a permanent warming center. Now, the warming center is hosted by one Carson City church each month during the coldest months, November through March.

The NOTS warming center was founded eight years ago after four homeless people died of hypothermia while sleeping outdoors. Since opening the center, no one has died from exposure to the cold in Carson City.

Tickets are $75 per person and can be purchased by calling 775-600-2215 or 775-720-2472.
