The following incidents were handled by Carson Sheriff's Deputies Dec. 31 and early Jan. 1:
-- Petit larceny reported at a store in the 3700 block of South Carson Street at 6:59 p.m. Dec. 31.
-- A man was charged with vehicle burglary after entering his ex-girlfriend's car at Nevada and West Fifth at 8:11 p.m. Dec. 31. He told deputies he was trying to leave her a note in the car.
-- A 22-year-old was arrested shortly after 1 a.m. after causing a disturbance in a bar on West Telegraph. He was charged with battery after fighting with the security guard and hitting the DJ at the bar.
-- An 18-year-old was arrested on battery charges following a 3:34 a.m. fight among several juveniles outside a convenience store in the 3000 block of Highway 50 East.
-- A total of seven DUI arrests reported in Carson City New Year's Eve and early New Year's Day. All were charged with first-offense, misdemeanor DUI. There were no accidents involved.
