A Carson City businessman who has a community college building named after him was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery.

Walter William "Woody" Wurster was released Wednesday from the Washoe County Jail after posting $3,000 bail. He was arrested in Reno earlier in the week.

Wurster is owner of Custom Stamping Inc. and a donor to Western Nevada Community College.

In 1998, university regents named the college's new Machine Tool Technology Center after him in recognition of his many contributions to the school.

Wurster declined comment on the arrest.
