A Mass of Christian burial for David Lee Holmgren, 54, a Carson City resident for the past 25 years, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Gall Catholic Church in Gardnerville.
Mr. Holmgren died Jan. 29, 2003, at his home. He was born May 29, 1948, in Oakland, Calif.
He graduated from George Whittell High School in 1966.
Mr. Holmgren was a slot supervisor for 20 years at the former Sahara Tahoe Resort Casino at Stateline and he worked at the Biltmore on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe. He enjoyed hunting, photography and cameras and he was a volunteer at Friends In Service Helping.
Among his survivors are his parents Lily and Verne Dille of Gardnerville; brothers Daniel Holmgren of South Lake Tahoe and Donald Dille of Montgomery, Texas, and sister Sharon Guthmiller of Columbia, Tenn.
Burial will be at Happy Homestead Cemetery at South Lake Tahoe.
McFarlane Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
