A funeral Mass for Frank H. Bogart, 89, a 17-year Gardnerville resident, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Gall Catholic Church. Visitation will be 6 p.m. Friday at the church.

Mr. Bogart died May 7, 2007, in Carson City. He was born July 7, 1917, in Rochester, N.Y., to Frank Bogart Sr. and Freida Hahn.

He married Mary Pierce on June 28, 1986, in Orange, Calif.

Before moving to Gardnerville, Mr. Bogart lived in Orange.

He was a high school graduate and attended two years of optical technician's college.

He was an optician for 50 years, working for the company that developed the Hubble Telescope.

He was a member of St. Gall Catholic Church.

Among his survivors are his wife of Gardnerville; sons Dennis Bogart of Huntington Beach, Calif., Gary Bogart of Denver and Wayne Bogart of Sydney, Australia; daughters Phyllis deRosett of Gardnerville, Janet Gregory of Half Moon Bay, Calif., and Nancy Niemeyer of Santa Clara, Calif.; stepsons Mike and David Jackson both of Gardnerville; stepdaughters Cynthia Hery of South Lake Tahoe and Jody Turney of San Clemente, Calif.; brother Jerry Bogart of Cranberry Lake, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Cremation and burial will take place at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Memorial donations may be made toward Alzheimer's research.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
