A private graveside service for Jerald W. Remington, 88, a Carson City resident for 13 years, will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Remington died Dec. 10, 2004, in Carson City.

He was born Jan. 6, 1916, to Frank and Bessie Remington in Swartz Creek, Mich.

Mr. Remington graduated from Flint Central High School in 1934, and in 1935, attended Flint Junior College, where he was a member of Phi Lambda Epsilon.

He held executive positions at Smith-Corona, General Motors, Birelys, Taylor Industries and General Foods. He started Remington International in Covina, Calif., and retired in 1994.

He was preceded in death by his wife, June, in 1994.

Among his survivors are daughter and son-in-law Joan Remington-Seymour and Ken Seymour of Carson City; grandchildren Patricia Santiago of Carson City and Kenson Seymour of Dayton; and three great-grandchildren.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
