A prayer service and blessing for Robert W. Dauterman, 73, a 12-year resident of Carson City, will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Mr. Dauterman died Sept. 26, 2007, at his home. He was born June 8, 1934, to Henry W. Dauterman and Henrietta Manders, in Longview, Wash.

Prior to moving to Carson City he lived in San Jose, Calif. He married Lorna Go on April 10, 1994, in San Jose.

He graduated from Longview High School and attended Washington State University for two years. He was a grounds superintendent and greens superintendent for various golf and country clubs.

He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church. He enjoyed flea markets.

He was preceded in death by his brother Charles.

Among his survivors are his wife of Carson City; daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth and Barry Hogue of Danville, Calif., and Tina and Phillip Sheldon of Oakland, Calif.; brother and sister-in-law Donald and Barbara Dauterman of Tigard, Ore.; sister-in-law, Carol Dauterman of Federal Way, Wash.; sister, Barbara Norton of Everett, Wash., and three grandchildren.

Cremation will take place at Walton's Sierra Crematory.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
