Richard Heckl died July 28, 2004, at his home in Minden. He was born July 12, 1922. He was 82.
Mr. Heckl was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and serve in World War II.
He worked for Lockheed Missiles and Space for 30 years before retiring to Minden. He then worked as a greeter at Wal-Mart.
He enjoyed UNR football, tailgating and animals.
Among his survivors are his wife, Lucille, and family.
The Neptune Society is in charge of arrangements.
