Daniel J. Bickel, 67, a Carson City resident for the past two years, died Nov. 20, 2004, at home.
He was born Sept. 18, 1937, in Whittier, Calif., to John E. and Marjorie L. Jordan Bickel.
He married Teresa Gonzales Aug. 5, 1961, in Carson City.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Baldwin Park, Calif.
Mr. Bickel was assistant parts manager in the automotive industry. He was an avid horse-racing fan and a member of the American Legion.
He served in the U.S. Navy Reserve.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Among his survivors are his wife and son, Michael, both of Baldwin Park; brother and sister-in-law John C. and Kay of Carson City; sister, Marybell Shields of Utah; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private family service will be at a later date. Capitol City Cremation & Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
