A graveside service with full military honors for Darrel K. "Bucky" Burow, 80, a 15-year Gardnerville resident, will be 1 p.m. May 12 at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley.
Mr. Burow died April 14, 2006, at his home. He was born June 30, 1925, in Pipestone, Minn., to Albert J. Burow and Jessie M. Booth.
He married Rose Mary Hoaglund on Feb. 6, 1954, in Pipestone. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1975.
He was preceded in death by a brother Gilbert and son Jeffrey.
Among his survivors are his wife of 52 years, of Gardnerville; son Barry Burow of Carson City; daughter Vicki Doane of Gardnerville; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, all of Gardnerville.
Capitol City Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
