Junior Lee Gray

A funeral for Junior Lee Gray, 80, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Pacific Drive Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 500 W. 700 N., American Fork, Utah. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 E. 100 N., American Fork, Utah, and 9:45-10:45 a.m. before the service.

Mr. Gray died Dec. 3, 2006, in American Fork, Utah. He was born April 6, 1926, in Paris, Idaho, to Jesse Silas and Della Lee Gray.

He married Mary Thelma Lawrence on Nov. 22, 1950, in the Idaho Falls Temple.

He attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho, and Utah State Agriculture College in Logan. He graduated in 1952.

He was a vocational-agriculture teacher and had taught in Idaho and Gardnerville for 34 years.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater.

He belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as a temple worker in Oakland, Calif., and in Reno. He and his wife fulfilled a mission in Charlotte, N.C., from 1992-94.

He enjoyed creating, building, working with his hands, and supporting his family in their activities.

Among his survivors are his wife of 56 years; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Rex Ginn of Howe, Idaho; sons and daughters-in-law Jerry and Jan Gray and Steven and Marilyn Gray, all of Carson City, Paul and Laurie Gray of Sparks and Jeffrey and Tonia Gray of American Fork; 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and two sisters.

Memorial donations may be made to the Perpetual Education Fund of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
